At Crosspoint Church, we want all families to be able to come to worship and know that their children are safe and loved. We believe that every person was wonderfully made by our Creator and that He has made some children even more unique! During worship, we encourage these children to engage in worship in the way they feel led. Once the music portion of the worship service has ended, all children are released to go to Kids Church and our children with special needs are released to their class as well. We ask that a parent walk with the child to the classroom to check-in with the teacher so that any allergy, medical, or behavioral changes can be relayed.

Parents/Guardians, if you are planning to visit us at Crosspoint Church, please take a few minutes to complete this online form to let us know more about your child. If you have multiple children who will be joining us in the special needs room, please complete one for each of those children. We will use this information to plan our lessons and activities in a way that will be meaningful and accessible for them.

Our special needs classroom is designed for students ranging from kindergarten to 5th grade. Our leader for this class has a background in working with special needs children of varying abilities and has a heart for sharing Jesus with them! We utilize multi-sensory learning to make the Scriptures accessible and fun for them. We have an adapted curriculum which utilizes a pictures and symbols to further facilitate understanding of the lesson presented and provides a way for children with limited communication to engage with the story. We love to use music in our class; however, we are cautious as we do not want to overstimulate any of our friends. We have adjustable lighting, a calming corner, and sensory bins that also help us accommodate children of varying abilities.

We cannot wait to meet you and your child! If you have questions, please email us at crosspointspecialneeds@gmail.com. We look forward to sharing the love of Jesus with your child!
